MasMóvil has failed to fulfill the presumed form of some contracts of
collaboration made with the presidents of Addan and Aleteia. In a simple
search, we have read complaints of how the company works. Perhaps it is
a company not to be trusted very much.

In this case, we signed a contract of collaboration with Creative
Services Marketing, which acted on behalf of MasMovil, with the aim of
participating in a press conference after the MasMóvil "nudist" parade,
which occurred on July 18 on the "Rambla de Barcelona"
[http://www.masmovil.es/desfile]. In the contract we committed to
participate in the press conference after the parade, as Defenders of
the Right to the Nakedness and they committed to submit a press release
of ours. By telephone, they communicated to us that the company had
decided not to count on our collaboration, in spite of the signed contract.

Nevertheless, in order for them not to be able to allege a failure to
appear, I showed up to the event, where they attended to me very amiably
but reiterated the refusal of the MasMóvil company to count on our
collaboration. Now that the parade has already been carried out, we want
to make the press release public which they didn't dare to include in
the press dossier, as well as to expose the pseudo-progressivism which
they have shown:

---------------------------------------------------------
Joint Press Release from the Associations ADDAN and ALETEIA

The right to nakedness - a conviction.

In the first place we wish to declare a right which we would want
explicitly included in the Universal Declaration of Human rights:

Nakedness, as well as the use of any Human Adornments, are the result of
the freedom of each human being to choose without any impositions or
limitations which could interfere with that freedom, except those that
may exist in workplaces or private organizations.

Explanation:
On the one hand, there can be agreements in the workplace for
maintaining the image of the company that are valid as long as they do
not presuppose sexism of any kind. On the other hand, rules that are
suitable for security in the workplace must always be respected. In
private organizations, there can be rules regarding the Right of Entry,
but which cannot discriminate without reason, and in particular cannot
be sexist. In Catalonia they must have the endorsement of the Autonomous
Government of Catalonia [Generalitat de Catalunya] and must be displayed
in a visible place where they can easily be read.

Convictions of nudactivity:

We declare our conviction to the entire world that nakedness has nothing
to do with sex, since sex is a function that does not have a specific
location on the human body, and moreover that the most sexual organ is
the brain. We also wish to specify that nakedness has nothing to do with
exhibition, an act which can be carried out just as much with clothing
as without.

Nakedness is not contrary to the rights of minors, as can easily be seen
by observing other cultures as well as what occurs on beaches or in
other places. Any place can be suitable for nakedness, or for the
freedom to dress or to have adornments.

Those who want nakedness while shut away in certain places should
realize that this desire is no different than one to lock the issue up
in a ghetto at the same time as stigmatizing it socially. In ghettos
where the practice of nakedness may be permitted, required, tolerated or
authorized, there are people who can feel wrapped up with their equals
and safe from external intolerance. But they nevertheless help maintain
the stigmatization of the same practice and avoid the position that
respectful and tolerant people can coexist in the same places of
freedom. Places or scheduled times for "practicing" nakedness are a
faithful reflection of the social exclusion that weighs against human
nakedness, coming as much from their own side as from another's.

We think that, once and for all, we should break away from the tacit
acceptance that there may be others who decide for us in what moments
and circumstances we must remain without clothes or must get dressed.
Indeed, and in broad strokes, in general society we are forced to be
dressed, and against this other places exist where we are forced to
remain naked. In the application of our conviction, this is as
inappropriate as any other coercion, because the decision to remain
naked or to be covered belongs to each person. The duality between these
different places leads to the practical impossibility of coexistence
among respectful and tolerant people with the liberty to choose for
themselves.

What is nudactivity?

We understand nudactivity as any action in defense of the free
expression of:
Nakedness
The way of being dressed
The use of adornments

These actions can be carried out through different expressions such as
oral communication or by writing or other actions. The actions in favor
of this conviction don't have to be complex, since they can begin with
nakedness in one's own home and with explaining our idea in this way in
the bosom of one's family. They can continue in areas on the outside of
the house, or that can be seen from the outside. Also, it is nudactive
to change clothes, or to quickly undress and shower in public places,
without showing the effects of shame that are culturally instilled in
us. Other actions can be to remain naked with a group of relatives or
friends who ideally should be prepared to defend this right.

We defend nakedness of one's own choosing in any place or circumstance
including parks and public streets - by which one must not conclude that
we only defend it in such places, but that these are usually more
controversial.

>From our point of view, considering the objections that other people
or groups can express, when using public seating we advise placing
something that isolates the body from direct contact with the seat, or
to not use public seating at all.

All these convictions that we have expressed are consistent with the
present laws of the Spanish state and must be understood in this
framework, including the various legal or other recognitions of these
convictions. Furthermore, we also support the idea that such liberties
are also possible in other legal frameworks outside Spain.

We hope that today's specific actions and the following press conference
can serve as a departure point for the nudactivity of many people who
hope that the day will arrive for being able to express nakedness
without external interference or directives. In body painting, which is
chosen by people who voluntarily participate and carried out by
body-painting artists, we see a reflection of the desire for freedom of
expression by each participant and each artist - a voluntary and
nudactive action.
