French cyclist who goes around naked in San Sebastian is detained again
for exhibitionism

The French cyclist who is used to going around naked in San Sebastián
was detained again Saturday, presumed responsible for the crime of
exhibitionism when, without clothes, he passed by a plaza which was full
of people, many of whom were children.

According to a note sent by the arrested person himself, the acts
happened in the Plaza de la Constitución when two municipal police
officers asked to him to identify himself since he took some photos with
several women and their children. Since at the moment “he did not carry
any clothes or documentation”, he was transferred to the police station
to verify his personal details, after which they began the corresponding
formalities for a presumed crime of exhibitionism and another one of
disobedience. The text also indicates that the Guardia Municipal
[Municipal Guard] did not allow him to leave the police station naked,
so he had to stay all night until the following morning, after which the
police went to look for his clothes in order to bring to him before the
judge.

Local sources explained that the man was transferred to the police
because his attitude was one of “exhibitionism”, when he choose to walk
naked by a plaza that was “jammed” with people, many of whom were
children. The arrested person passed through judicial custody and was
set free provisionally, without bail. It is the second time that this
man was arrested in Donostia for similar acts.

the established social norm submissively accepts all the limitations and
conditions that are imposed on them, they will not begin to strongly
notice the intolerance, discrimination and injustice of which they are
the object." Choose some type of "difference" in a person or group and

Last century, the ancient crime of "public scandal" disappeared from the
Penal Code, which is the crime that penalized the act of being naked in
public. Now they are trying to sneak this back in for a much more
serious crime: that of exhibitionism, which can be done by dressed or
naked people since it is the act of directing obscene actions against
minors or the disabled. May those who defend the law be informed that
they must defend the Law and not their own particular moral norms, be
they police, public prosecutors, judges, etc. No one is above the law.
