Touching of Earth Ceremony. Topic: Buddhism, Zen and Nembutsu. How is it that everything in life is religion - the Buddhist Way? How does Buddhism untangle the knots of human troubles? A look into the Beat generation. From the book Everyday Suchness by Goymay Kubose.
3/30. Ants, Buddha and Emptiness. Are you confused about the meaning of
emptiness? Learn how Complexity Theory can help you finally grasp it. Explore how the universe finds apparent order within chaos and without a central designer. From the article From the Bottom Up in Tricycle Magazine summer 2006.

“Flower Power” Fundraiser
of the Buddhist Faith Fellowship
More Volunteers Needed
We need just a few more people.
February 20 - March 31, 2008
Goal: $2,500
Share Happiness and Inspiration
Thinking about springtime? Easter Sunday flowers? Buddhist Flower Festival gifts and displays? As part of our Capitol Campaign, the Buddhist Faith Fellowship has initiated the “Flower Power” fundraiser. This new 6 week undertaking will help bring us one step closer to having our own Sangha building in Middletown Connecticut, in which we will be able to better share and deepen the Buddha Dharma in Connecticut. What’s more, flowers bring happiness to others during Easter and the Flower Festival (Flower Festival flowers symbolize peace and life).
For Future Buddhist Center
This is a nice opportunity to share happiness and inspiration with others, and help the BFF establish its future Buddhist Center.
Based on sales projections, the BFF could raise a lot of donations for our endeavor. So far, in our initial marketing test, volunteers discovered that they are very easy to sell as many people are interested in flowers for the spring, and for Easter and/or Flower Festival. Therefore, we are confident that the sangha can raised at least $2,500 in donations. For far, since October 2007, we have fundraised over $20,000 and need $50,000 more to meet our capital goal. Please help our sangha.
Volunteers Needed
If you haven’t considered selling them, please do so since we have limited time. (Orders need to be in by the end of March). If you would like to sell and/or more information, please call Bob Walczewski at (860) 426-0297 and we can get a selling kit to you. There are no quotas, you can sell any amount.
Customers Needed
If you can not sell but would like to make a purchase, please e-mail Bob Walczewski or anyone else at the Sangha who is selling
the flowers.
Peace and Love. Thank you for your continued support!
-- Bob Walczewski, BFF Flower Power Fundraiser organizer
Simple Power Flower Selling Steps
The procedure for selling is:
1. See, e-mail or call Bob Walczewski to receive a selling kit.
2. Show the brochure to others and take orders. Payment is
required in advance and checks should be made out to “BFF”.
3. Bob will call you towards the end of March to arrange pickup of all your orders. We need to have the orders in by the end of March.
4. The flowers will be ordered and Bob will receive them sometime in April.
5. When they come in, Bob will call you so that we can make
arrangements to get the flowers to you so that you can distribute them to the people. Timing will be critical as we don’t want the plants to die.
