| Notas: | "Self-Mixing Interferometry and Applications" The presentation starts by introducing the different schemes of interferometry and in particular, the self-mixing (SM) configuration and its special features. Then, we present a review of applications of SM for a variety of measurements, along with schemes of operation and the obtained performances. The measurands we consider are mechanical (displacement, distance, vibration, angle) as well as physical (remote optical echoes, optical attenuation, coherence length and enhancement factor). Along with the operating principle, we discuss the applications and report the experimental results of performance. "Optical Fiber Sensors: Types, Readouts, Performances" First, the lecture presents a framework to describe and classify optical fiber sensors (OFS) in accordance to the transducer mechanism, physical quantity involved and type of optical readout. Then, wit will review the most successful example of OFS that have been developed so far, for the measurements of mechanical (force, stress, pressure) thermal (temperature), electrical (current and voltage), and chemical (pH, pO2) measurands, and discuss the working scheme and achieved performances. Last, we will briefly report on distributed and multiplexed OFS as well as on advanced schemes. | |
