This message is intended mainly to people who only speak English.
    Some people, without doubt, think that English is a forbidden language at the "Auxilinguas en serio" list.
    Not at all. English language is allowed (although not encouraged) here. The official language of our list is Galician (galego).
    Short, everybody can and may ask: what's the matter against English, then?
    This is a practical matter, rather than a theoretical one.
    The auxiliary languages be focused on people who hardly speak just one tongue, one national tongue. They aren't primarily for people who master fluently many languages (and then, usually, also English), but for linguistically handicapped people; this people is the main goal of our list.
    If English language is needed always to create, develop, compare, use, enhance, and so on the auxiliary languages; if all comments are made in English, without translation; then English becomes the de facto universal language of the list, thus making superfluous the planned languages.
    This isn't theory. This is practice. Many lists exist which deal with planned auxiliary languages, where everybody speaks English and where nobody can realistically participate without a basic level of English. And several of these lists work many years ago. The balance is, then, fully feasible.
    At these lists, the vast majority of mankind becomes excluded from the beginning. The right of non-English speaking people to discuss and decide on auxiliary languages is denied. Therefore, a strong ethical objection arises.
    Moreover, as everybody already speaks a common language there, the need for an auxiliary language is zero at these lists. Consequently, most of the messages and materials are discussions on the angels' sex (useless and erudite questions), if not bitter mutual attacks between partisans of a planned language against partisans of another planlinguistic sect. The real use of planned languages is almost inexistent, mainly formal (to discuss grammar, orthography, and so on) and rarely to say interesting, not grammatical things. The big questions are absent, questions as the optimal design of the auxiliary languages, the role of national languages under an auxilinguistic background, and so on. Very important: also the true dialogue between the supporters of the different planned languages is absent. We've said "the dialogue", not "the quarrel".
    Thus, at Auxilinguas en serio, English is just another big national language, and, after a message or file in English, everybody can and may complaint: "I don't understand this. Please translate!". Of course, the planned auxiliary languages are, not only in theory but really also in practice, the most accurate solution for this problem. To translate an obscure message from English (or Galician, Guarani, and so on) into a planned language is the best solution.
