ACCOMODATION
Here are 3 suggestions among many solutions
for accomodation in Paris.
Solution 1:
There is now a "Formule 1" hotel inside Paris.
It's located Porte de Chatillon,
about 10 minutes walking from metro station
Porte d'Orleans, last station of line 4
(in the middle South of Paris).
It's not very distant from the tournament venue
but you need to take a bus and/or the metro.
You can book online
http://www.hotelformule1.com
(choose English if you get this page in French).
Then you can select at the bottom left
"Express reservation"
where you need to enter the hotel code,
which is 3072.
Then follow instructions for choosing the
dates and the number of rooms.
You'll have to give a credit card number.
And you will need the SAME credit card to be able
to enter the hotel even if it's late when you arrive
(there is nobody at the reception after 8p.m. or something).
The price of the hotel is 41 euros for one room.
It's the same price even if you are 1, 2 or 3 in the room.
There is a double bed in the room and a single bed
which is above the double bed.
There are no toilets nor shower inside the room (only a sink)
but toilets and shower are outside the room.
You can have breakfast for 3.90 euros each.
Solution 2:
La Maison Hostel
67 bis, rue Dutot
75015 Paris
France
tel: +33 (0)1.42.73.10.10
fax: +33 (0)1.42.73.08.08
http://www.mamaison.fr/
Here is first some general information about La Maison Hostel:
Our hostel is situated in South-West central
Paris, 20 minutes by foot from the Eiffel Tower
and 5 minutes from the metro station Volontaires
(line n° 12) or Pasteur (line n° 6 or 12). We are
situated close to the Montparnasse
trainstation. The area is safe and there is a
post-office, laundry, supermarket and bakery
nearby. In the hostel we have a kitchen
available for all our guests. We also have an
Internet connection.
How to get here from the metro station Volontaires:
As you leave the metro (there is just one exit),
you will be standing on a street called rue des
Volontaires. There you turn left, walking up the
street. Our street, rue Dutot, is the second
street on your right hand side. The hostel is
situated at 67, rue Dutot, on your left. You will
see a big blue neon sign saying "hostel".
From March 15th to October 31st, our prices are :
21 Euros per person per night in a dorm (room with 3/4 beds)
24 Euros per person per night in a twin (two
separate beds) or double (one big bed)
Breakfast is included in the price. Every room
has a private shower and toilet. There is a
pillow and a blanket in every bed, but sheets and
towels are not provided. In case you cannot bring
your own ones or a sleeping bag; you can usually
rent them here, sheets for 2.5 Euros + 10 Euros
deposit and towels 1 Euro + 5 Euros deposit.
Please note the following:
- lockout 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (during which time
you cannot be in your room, access to the room
after 5 pm on check-in day)
- strict curfew at 2 a.m.
- one week maximum stay
- no refunds
- if you haven't cancelled your reservation
at least three days in advance (and you don't
show up) your credit card will be charged for one
night per person
-for small groups and families : we cannot
always guarantee a room exclusively for the group
/ family
Solution 3:
(maybe not very easy if you don't have a car)
ETAP Hotel
12, rue Jacques-Henri Lartigue
92130 ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX
The rate is 47 euros for a single room for 1 night
but only 50 euros for a twin/double room for 1 night
with facilities in the room
