ANNOUNCEMENT No. 3
LODGING PACKAGE

Under the new monetary regulations established in Cuba, the
non-circulation of the US dollar as a legal tender is forbidden, in its
place, all operations in hard currency will be carried out in Cuban
Convertible Pesos (CUC), the only legal tender, to be used for the
payment of products and services that are offered in hard currency.

As a result of the above mentioned, any traveller entering Cuba, who as
a legal tender brings with him/her US dollars, must change his/her
dollars for Cuban Convertible Pesos (CUC), such change will imply a 10%
taxation fee. Therefore, for each $1.00 USD you will receive 0.90 CUC.
This taxation is only applicable to the USD when changed. Other
currencies such as the Euro, the Canadian Dollar, the Pound Sterling and
Mexican Pesos, will be changed into Cuban Convertible Pesos (CUC),
according to the official exchange rates established for the purpose,
without the application of taxes for these currencies.

The rates included in the lodging package are expressed in Cuban
Convertible Pesos (CUC)

These packages include Lodging and breakfast. Transfer from and to the
José Martí International airport and to all the official activities of
the programme, including May Day rally.

Lunches on the 28th. 29th. and the 30th. Will be paid for by the
Organizing Committee
