My name is Margarita Rodriguez de Aleman, my parents are Armando
Rodriguez and Maria Peraza Rodriguez. I came to the US in 1962 when
I was 9 years old. I lived with my uncle Jose Elias Peraza and his
wife Sara Peraza until my parents came in 1966.
I am very proud of my Cuban heritage and even though I've been in
the US for 46 years and there are times I feel very much American, I
know I have Cuban blood running through my veins.
I have two sons Alexander and Braulio, both married to wonderful
girls. Alexander and his wife had thier first child in August of
this year. Her name is Christina and she's adorable. I taught both
my sons Spanish before they learned to speak English which made it a
little hard for them when they started school, but I wanted them to
learn their native tounge.
I appologize for writing in English and not Espanish, but you'd be
laughing at my spelling and grammar.
Thank you so much for creating this page. I plan to visit as often
as possible. I have seen some beautiful pictures of Sagua la Grande
which have brought back a lot of beautiful childhood memories.
Keep up the good work.
