      Twilight Zone Reboot from Jordan Peele Lands at CBS All Access

      ***Image***CBS All Access has added to its slate of originals a reboot of The Twilight Zone from Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films.

      The new series will be produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Monkeypaw and Genre Films. Peele, Kinberg and Marco Ramirez will serve as executive producers for the series and collaborate on the premiere episode. Win Rosenfeld and Audrey Chon will also serve as executive producers.

      RTL Crime Orders Remake of Fritz Lang’s M

      ***Image***RTL Crime has ordered its first original drama, M: A City Looks for a Murderer (M: Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder).

      Based on the 1931 Fritz Lang movie of the same name, the six-episode miniseries tells the story of a city faced with a set of child murders and how they affect the individual layers of society. Shooting is scheduled to begin in Vienna in early 2018.

      New Acorn TV Originals Slated for January

      ***Image***Two new Acorn TV originals are debuting this January, one of which is Girlfriends, from Love, Lies & Records creator Kay Mellor.

      Acorn Media Enterprises co-produced Girlfriends with all3media international and Rollem Productions. The series stars two-time Oscar nominee Miranda Richardson (The Crying Game, Churchill, The Hours), Phyllis Logan (Downton Abbey) and Zoe Wanamaker (Agatha Christie’s Poirot).
